Datchet ended the season with a win in this low key game.
Finchampstead achieved their objective of maximum batting points which
confirmed their division 2 status.
Datchet with several key batsmen missing knocked off the runs with
Nick Tilley (61) and Adam Jones (40) leading the way.
Datchet finish the seson in third place and will have another go at promotion next year.

An imperious innings from Thomas Jones could have saved the
second eleven from relagation but weather had the final say.
Tom smashed the ball to all parts of the ground scoring 65 percent of his
sides runs. Together with Andy Jackson (49) they contributed nearly 90 percent!
With Caversham and Chiswick both rained off Datchet needed to bowl the home side out
to stay up.
However, the batting held firm and the rain eventually doomed the twos to fifth division cricket
next year.
It was a tough year for Andy Jackson's side in the restructured league. The three new first teams joining
the division all finished in the top 4. However, there were some good performances
, and the team enjoyed their cricket. I am sure thet they will bounce back next year.

A weak Datchet side were beaten in a low scoring game.
Anil Kakaria batted well to score 38 but as the wicket dried former
Datchet player, Jake Jacobs, found some loose bowling to his liking.
Despite some late wickets Farnham Royal won with 6 wickets down.
